The one day event provided an opportunity for players to learn from an experienced staff of high school and former college coaches. Here are the evaluations for the classes of 2027 and 2028. Evaluations were completed by Cam Sports staff.
ELITE 32 TOP PERFORMERS
Cordell Nelson | Tift County HS | 2027
Standing 6’8, Nelson is a big-time shot blocker w/good timing. He plays with a high motors and rebounds out of positions. Nelson showed a lot of versatility throughout the day. He rolled hard to the rim in pick and rolls, finished with either hand, and even had a few highlight dunks. His face up game was on full display. Nelson has a nice jump hook in the post and can make the 15 feet jumper. He is a name that will blow up this season.
Elijah Rivers | Monroe High School | 2027
Rivers was upbeat all day. He showed he wanted to defend and cause havoc from start to finish. Once the ball was in his hands he made plays for others and knocked down shots at the elbow regularly. Rivers is a versatile guard with IQ and good basketball instincts which allows him to impact the game on both sides of the ball.
Tristan Terry | Monroe High School | 2027
Terry showed why he is one of the better sophomores in Southwest GA. He was quick and smart with the ball in transition. His first step is dangerous, and allowed him to blow past defenders to get in the lane for one his acrobatic finishes. Tristan is a capable shooter from deep but prefers to play in the mid range or get to the rim. Once he learns how to settle down, he will be one of the better prospects from South GA in the state.
Rusch Goswick | Metter High School | 2027
From the start of the camp, Goswick brought great leadership. His communication and energy during drills spilled over into the games. Goswick's game has improved drastically since last camp. He is a confident 3 point shooter that doesn't hesitate when his is open. He has a good understanding of the game and showed he can finish in the lane and mid range.
Tyler Freeman | Calvary Christian (AL) | 2007
Freeman came to camp ready. He was one of the better shooters on the day. If he get an inch of space and his feet are set, he is knocking it down. Freeman also has the ability to create off the dribble and can finish in the lane with either hand. With his length, he was able to alter shots and showed flashes of being sound defensively. When Freeman is locked in, he can be an exciting player to watch.
Amarri Bryant | Slocomb HS (AL) | 2027
Bryant is an interesting player. He was by far one of the most athletic campers. Bryant excels in transition, and at times can rebound and push the break. On defense, Bryant does a good job sliding his feet and is .able to keep smaller guards in front of him. Bryant is more of a mid range shooter that likes to slash to the basket. At 6'4", he has a good upside and will probably shoot up to about 6'7" by his senior year.
Maceo Littleton | Lee County HS | 2027
Littleton Jr. was one of the smallest at camp but packed a big punch. He used his quickness to force many steals and get down hill to make a play for himself or others. Littleton has improved his shooting which was evident by him knocking down multiple 3-pointers throughout the day.
Khaleb Young | McDonough HS | 2028
Young was one of the most skilled players at the camp. He showed his versatility to play either guard spot and be effective. The 6’2 point guard ran the pick and roll well, shot the ball at a high clip and guarded multiple positions all day. Young displayed good defensive instincts as he deflected passes that led to fast break opportunities. I see him getting minutes for McDonough High School this year as a freshman.
Jamarion Cooper | Bainbridge HS | 2028
Cooper is a shifty guard that's tough to contain one on one. With his quick first step and ability to change pace, he created several scoring opportunities. Cooper is also a knock down shooter that made 3-point shots in transitions as well as off penetrate and kick situations. He has a good feel for the game and a mature skill set for a freshman.
Isaiah Rivers | Monroe HS | 2028
Rivers was steady all day. He was strong with the ball and played both guard positions very well. Rivers handled the ball and got to his spot to knock down the mid range very well. With his size, skill, and physicality at the guard spot, he was able to create driving lanes to the rim where he finished through contact. Rivers is a dynamic freshman and is a name that you will hear about for the next four years.
Jamal Carnes | Central High (AL) | 2028
Carnes was one of my favorite players at the camp. He has a snack for scoring the ball which was on full display as he consistently scored on all three levels. Carnes also showed his vision by finding teammates as he attacked the basket or swung the ball at the right time to an open shooter. His IQ is pretty good for his age and will only get better as he get older.
Nicholas Gomez | Slocomb HS (AL) | 2028
Gomez is a high energy guards that does a little of everything. He plays either guard spot and has the ability to score on all three levels. As the day went on, Gomez's feel for the game stood out. He read the floor and made good decision as the lead guard. On defense, he picked up 94 feet and applied an abundance of pressure to ball handlers which led to turnovers for uncontested layups.
Elite 32 Campers (cont')
Bo Griffin | CA Gray Jr. HS | 2028
Griffin is a crafty ball player with good instincts. He has good footwork and picks up on concepts fairly quick. He showed the ability to compete and make plays for himself and teammates.
Brodie Stone | CA Gray Jr. HS | 2028
Stone made some good plays during the games. He plays hard on defense and was able to force players into bad shots or turnover. Stone had success shooting the 3-point shot and mid range. He improved his ability to finish during camp. With continued development, he has a good opportunity to be a solid player for Colquitt County HS.
Nicholas Marini | St. Teresa School | 2028
Marini is a small guard that worked hard all day. He showed a willingness to learn throughout the day. He is a good shooter when he set his feet. With more development on is ball skills, Marini can become more efficient on the perimeter.
Sage Maddox | Sumter County HS | 2028
Maddox is a big kid that showed a few moves around the basket. He used his body to rebound and carve out space to put back missed shots. Maddox showcased his ability to play from the free throw line down. With improved footwork and ball skills, Maddox game can take a big leap.'.
Keilan Sutton | CA Gray Jr. HS | 2028
Sutton became more impressive towards the end of the camp. He is a strong undersize post that can finished with either hand in the lane. He has a good feel for rebounding and uses his body to power through defenders.
Michael Richards | St. Teresa's School | 2028
Richards is a long, athletic forward that stands at 6'3". He is raw offensively, but has shown growth in a short time. He finished several drop off passes at the basket and competes on defense. One thing he does exceptional at this stage is rebound. He got his hands on several loose ball and scored.
Zachary Powell | Lee County HS | 2028
Powell is a very active guard that plays hard on both sides of the ball. He puts pressure on the ball handlers and is able to use his quickness to get back into plays. He can finish in the lane with either hand. With more polishing of his fundamentals, Powell will have a solid foundation.
Brock Williams | Lee County HS | 2027
Williams is a small guard that worked hard all day. He showed a willingness to try and defend. In drill stations, he picked up concepts and paid attention to details. Brock is quick and as he grows in the game, his ability will catch up with his speed.
Keyhon Colson | Dooly County HS | 2028
Colson plays hard and competes. In the drills, we were able to see his skills improve. When he set his feet, he shot more consistent. He needs to improve his footwork and ball skills for him to grow into the player that he can be.
